Settle the storm

Move. Breathe. Rest. Come back to yourself.

A weekly space for gentle embodied movement, breath, deep rest and connection.

Come exactly as you are. No experience needed.

Sometimes, we need somewhere to land.

Life Can Be loud

We spend so much of it thinking, doing, responding, holding things together and moving onto whatever needs us next.

Settle the Storm is an hour where none of that is required of you.

Each week, we gather to slow things down and explore simple practices that help us notice what is happening within us — through movement, breath, sensation, stillness and rest.

There is no expectation to empty your mind, move in a particular way or leave feeling transformed.

You are invited to arrive exactly as you are.

And we'll begin there.

what happens in a class?

Every Settle the Storm session is a little different.

Throughout the season, we explore different aspects of our experience through the body.

Themes might include grounding, trust, presence, expression, change, rest or connection.

You can come every week and follow the journey, or simply join us whenever you can.

There is no catching up.

Every session stands on its own.

Although our practice changes with the seasons and the needs of the group, you can always expect a gentle combination of:

is settle the storm for me?

Settle the Storm has been designed to be gentle, adaptable and welcoming to different bodies, energy levels and experiences.

You are encouraged to make the practice your own.

That can mean sitting instead of standing, keeping your eyes open, changing a movement, taking a break, choosing not to participate in something or simply resting.

There is no hands-on adjustment and you are always in charge of what you do with your body.

If you're unsure whether the class can accommodate something you need, you're very welcome to contact Ashwild before booking.
