ABOUT NIKKI

Hi, I'm Nikki

I founded Ashwild to create the kind of space I once needed myself.

A place where people can slow down, feel safe in their bodies and reconnect with themselves—gently, without pressure or expectations.

My work weaves together somatic movement, breath, mindfulness and the natural world to help people navigate stress, overwhelm and the ordinary challenges of being human.

Everything I offer is grounded in professional training, lived experience and a deep belief that our bodies already know far more than we often give them credit for.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive.

You just need a willingness to begin.

ASHWILD IS A PLACE TO RETURN TO YOURSELF.

To breathe deeper. To feel more. To live more connected.

Somatic

Trauma-informed

Community-led

Whole-person

wellbeing

We work with the whole person, recognising that our bodies hold stories, emotions and wisdom that words alone cannot always reach.

Every practice is guided by safety, choice and compassion. There is never pressure to perform, and every activity can be adapted to meet you where you are.

Ashwild is more than a class. It's a welcoming community where people can move, breathe, connect and remember that they don't have to do life alone.

Supporting body, mind, heart and nervous system through gentle, evidence-informed practices that honour each person's unique journey.

My story

For many years I lived with chronic pain, illness and a nervous system that rarely felt at ease.

Like many people, I spent years searching for ways to feel better. While traditional approaches helped in some ways, it wasn't until I discovered somatic practices that something truly began to shift.

Through gentle movement, nervous system regulation, mindfulness and reconnecting with nature, I slowly rediscovered a sense of safety within my own body.

Ashwild grew from that experience.

Not because I believe I've found all the answers, but because I know how powerful it can be to have someone gently walk alongside you while you discover your own.

2

my approach

I don't believe healing means becoming someone new.

I believe it means remembering who we were before life taught us to disconnect from ourselves.

Every Ashwild practice is an invitation to slow down, notice what's happening in your body and respond with curiosity rather than judgement.

There is no perfect way to move.

No expectation to keep up.

No pressure to get it right.

Only an opportunity to reconnect with yourself—one breath, one movement and one moment at a time.

My Vow to you:

I will meet you with presence, not promises.

I will honor your story without trying to fix it.

I will see your body as a place of wisdom, not a problem to solve.

I will create space where rest is possible, where limits are respected, and where you can arrive exactly as you are.

I will keep learning, unlearning, and listening.

I will move slowly, gently, and with care.

I will teach you practices that helped me, knowing they might help you differently—or not at all.

I can't heal you. But I can walk beside you while you find what works.

You don't need to be more or less of anything to begin.

You just need to arrive as you are.
